Concerns had been raised on several occasions by residents since 2011, but because the festival was such a success, providing a huge boost to the economy of the town with over 40,000 visitors, the Council decided it was not something which needed any action.

We contacted the festival organisers to tell them all about our award winning noise reduction barriers, which had proved so successful at other music events, and they decided to trial them at the 2013 festival.

Barriers were erected between stages to stop sound transference and around key infrastructure in the town such as under bridges and along fencing. This helped to minimise the problem of amplification of the sound throughout the town and reduce disruption for residents and those working during the festival.

Comments in the press after the 2013 festival enthused about the noise management success and the effect of the barriers in stopping the sound travelling outside of the festival site. Comments received by organisers included it being the best festival yet.

The 2014 festival is taking place this year between 16-24 July and we are delighted to be sponsoring the event as well as providing barriers. Find out more about the festival here: www.arundelfestival.co.uk
